McEllin Co. was started in 1983 by John and Dolores McEllin. It was the first company in New England to provide specialized services to hardwood floor contractors.

Prior to founding McEllin Co., John worked for W.T. Graham Co. in Brighton, MA, for approximately 30 years, where he worked as their wood floor expert and janitorial supply salesman.

Owners Ed Cox and Paul Connolly have a combined 48 years in the industry. They have attended various classes throughout the years.
